Abhuday Upkar Foundation (“the Foundation”) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established with the objective of serving society through initiatives in education, healthcare, environment, women empowerment, rural development, social welfare, and cultural preservation. The Foundation is committed to upholding transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and sustainability in all its operations.
This policy document defines the guiding principles, code of conduct, operational framework, and compliance mechanisms for the Foundation, its governing members, staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

To implement sustainable projects in education, healthcare, livelihood generation, and environment.

The Foundation shall be governed by a Board of Trustees / Governing Council.
Members shall serve without personal remuneration and shall act solely in the interest of the Foundation.
Meetings shall be conducted at least quarterly, and decisions shall be documented in official minutes.
Chairperson / President – Provides leadership and ensures alignment with the vision.
Secretary – Maintains records, minutes, and statutory compliance.
Treasurer – Manages accounts, financial audits, and budgets.
Advisory Members – Provide expert guidance in specific domains.
The Foundation shall maintain separate bank accounts for its operations.
All income, whether donations, grants, or project funds, shall be documented and utilized solely for charitable purposes.
Annual accounts shall be audited by an independent Chartered Accountant.
Financial statements shall be presented to the Governing Body and, where required, made available to donors and regulatory authorities.
No part of the Foundation’s income or assets shall be transferred for personal benefit of any trustee or member.
Donations may be accepted in cash, cheque, bank transfer, or online platforms, strictly in compliance with applicable Indian laws including FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) for international donations.
Donors shall be provided with valid receipts and, where applicable, tax exemption certificates (e.g., under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act).
The Foundation shall not engage in fundraising activities that are misleading, exploitative, or harmful to dignity.
Donor information shall be kept confidential unless disclosure is legally required.
Projects shall be designed to address community needs with measurable outcomes.
Preference will be given to sustainable and replicable models.
Baseline studies, monitoring, and impact evaluation will be integral to each program.
Local participation shall be encouraged to ensure ownership and long-term success.
Volunteers and staff shall be treated with respect and dignity.
Equal opportunity shall be provided irrespective of gender, religion, caste, disability, or socio-economic background.
Volunteers shall be oriented about the Foundation’s mission, code of conduct, and safety guidelines.
Misconduct, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated.
Recognition and appreciation programs shall be conducted to honor volunteers’ contributions.
Selection of beneficiaries shall be fair, transparent, and need-based.
No beneficiary shall be discriminated against on the basis of caste, religion, or gender.
Confidentiality of beneficiary information shall be maintained.
Feedback from beneficiaries shall be encouraged to improve programs.
The Foundation may collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, corporates, and academic institutions.
Partnerships must align with the Foundation’s values and not compromise independence.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) shall be signed with partners for clarity of roles.
The Foundation shall comply with all applicable Indian laws including:
Indian Trusts Act / Societies Registration Act / Companies Act (Section 8 Company) depending on registration type.
Income Tax Act provisions for charitable organizations.
FCRA (if applicable) for foreign contributions.
Statutory filings (annual returns, audit reports, etc.) shall be made on time.
Records shall be maintained for minimum 7 years for legal and audit purposes.
The Foundation shall share authentic and accurate information through reports, newsletters, and official platforms.
Use of social media and media engagement shall be ethical, respectful, and transparent.
No false claims or exaggerated achievements shall be published.
In projects involving children, the Foundation shall follow a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse, exploitation, or neglect.
Staff and volunteers working with children shall undergo background verification.
Child participation shall be voluntary and respectful of their rights.
All programs shall promote eco-friendly practices such as waste reduction, water conservation, and tree plantation.
Events and operations shall minimize environmental impact (e.g., paperless reporting, renewable energy use where possible).
Trustees, staff, and volunteers shall disclose any personal interest in organizational activities.
No individual shall use the Foundation’s name, funds, or influence for personal or political gain.
This policy document shall be reviewed every three years by the Governing Body.
Amendments may be made with two-thirds majority approval of trustees.
All members, staff, and volunteers of Abhuday Upkar Foundation shall:
Uphold the mission and values of the Foundation.
Maintain honesty, dignity, and fairness in all interactions.
Protect organizational property and resources from misuse.
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Avoid behavior that brings disrepute to the Foundation.
